Judy Nordstrom is the founder and Lead Educator for the T.E.P.E. Training Institute. As a mother and grandmother to a large family, she brings extensive personal and professional qualifications to the job. She majored in psychology at Norwich University, holds a Master's degree in Community Social Psychology and has worked as a parenting educator for more than eleven years. A background in graphic design and publishing compliments her ability to create parenting curricula that also meets specific client needs, such as low literacy, substance abuse recovery and parenting after divorce.

Nordstrom created the multi-modal "thematic module" concept in curricula design, unveiled at the Center for Parenting Education, at the University of North Texas. Her unique concept engages learners with various learning styles and offers high levels of interactivity, which enhances retention. She developed the F.A.C.T.S. Model, used in training parenting educators. She also developed the "Parenting Education Matrix", a needs assessment and evaluation tool used to bolster the effectiveness of any curriculum and improve accountability.

As a group facilitator, educator and parent, Nordstrum is fully committed to creating a culture where parents are encouraged to seek out and participate in quality parenting education, as they feel the need, throughout their lifespan. An essential part of that mission requires that T.E.P.E. supports and strengthens the training available to parenting educators and program staff. This is why the T.E.P.E. Institute was created. We believe that the family is the foundation of all that America is, strong and resourceful, with the capacity for greatness.
